Aquesta ruta comença a Girona i es dirigeix cap a Banyoles. Just abans d'arribar a Banyoles, tenim l'opció de fer l'exigent escalada al Rocacorba, popularitzada per ciclistes professionals residents a Girona com David Millar i Dan Martin, que regularment mesuren les seves forces en aquesta difícil pujada. Al km 25,2 de la ruta gira a l'esquerra per seguir aquest GPX i pujar al Rocacorba (9 km de pujada aproximadament). Un cop al cim, tenim l'opció de dirigir-nos directament a Banyoles (estalviant 22,4 km de la distància total d'aquesta sortida). La ruta després segueix fins al llac, on podem banyar-nos a la zona habilitada i menjar en diversos restaurants a la vora del llac. Finalment tornem a Girona a través de carreteres secundàries.
