Siracusa és una ciutat de l'illa de Sicília, a l'est de l'illa. Té 125.000 habitants i forma part de la regió de Sicília i de la província de Siracusa . Limita amb els municipis d'Avola, Canicattini Bagni, Floridia, Melilli, Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, Priolo Gargallo i Solarino.
Siracusa fou la ciutat grega més important de Sicília, a la costa oriental de l'illa entre Catana i el cap Pachynus.
