Livigno ist eine Gemeinde der italienischen Provinz Sondrio in der Lombardei mit 6769 Einwohnern . Der Ort ist Zollausschlussgebiet der Europäischen Union.
Livigno liegt auf einer Höhe von 1816 m s.l.m. in den Livigno-Alpen und ist ein beliebter Wintersportort. Es liegt am Fluss Spöl , der das Livigno-Tal von Süden nach Norden durchfließt, mit einem Damm an der italienisch-schweizerischen Grenze zum Lago di Livigno gestaut wird und danach bei Zernez im Engadin in den Inn und damit in die Donau mündet. Das Tal liegt also nördlich der Wasserscheide der Alpen.
