Description

In 2008, the Lutherweg between Mansfeld and Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt was opened. It connects on a circular route about 410 km more than 40 main and numerous secondary stations of the work of Martin Luther.

The Lutherweg leads you out of the cities into nature, across the countryside, through nature parks in Fläming, the Dübener Heide around the Harz and through the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve.

There is no division into stages. Everyone should make the division according to their performance and the sights. As a circular route, you can start the Lutherweg from any point along the way.

The Lutherweg is primarily intended for hikers and pilgrims. In some sections, the Lutherweg follows well-known cycle paths, but is otherwise only limited, and in some cases not suitable for cyclists at all.
