The LOCAL ROAD Around Oerel was planned in 2019 by the married couple Gunda and Kurt Koopmann and implemented in 2020. They were supported by the municipality of Oerel and the German Red Cross local branch Oerel.The tour starts at the rest area on Bohlenstraße, diagonally across from the multi-generation house Koopmannhof. First, it goes through the village center of Oerel and past the town hall to the Gangolf Church. The local road then passes attractive fields and meadows with beautiful views of the moor areas, bypasses the forest area Hoher Oerel with the gem Oereler See and leads to the Ackerberg.
