The approx. 12 km long circular cycle path runs in the shape of a figure eight through an attractive flat to hilly rural park landscape.
The bike tour "In the footsteps of Bernard Overberg" is dedicated to the priest Bernard Overberg (1754 - 1826), who was born in the Voltlage district of Höckel, the rector of the seminary in the Prince-Bishopric of Münster and "teacher of teachers". A total of 19 information boards explain not only the life and work of Bernard Overberg, but also significant landscape features such as traditional orchards, Weeser ponds, or wayside shrines of the Stations of the Cross as well as memorial stones. The Höckel Local Museum provides information in its extensive collection about life and work in rural areas.
