Description by the author

A medium weight gem among the tours through the Volcanic Eifel. Dramatic is just the beginning, higher and higher one climbs above the castle pond and the wonderful two-castle complex of Manderscheid. At bijana 400 m you stand eye to eye with the castle town of Manderscheid. Along the valley side from Lieser and Seilbach to Pantenburg and then towards the Tüppenheck. The Falbach Valley offers wonderful solitude and pure forest up to the mouth of the Lieser. The rest is a grand walking spectacle, Lieser upwards back to the starting point.
