Circuit pédestre : le circuit de la pomme

Start from the Orchard of the Arboriculturists, rue du Rhin in Herrlisheim and join the path along the railroad that you follow for 800 meters towards Drusenheim

You will cross the Rothlach, an old river bed whose meanders can still be seen. You pass by a remarkable maple tree. Then the path leaves the railroad tracks and heads due east, facing the Black Forest. A little more than two kilometers after the start, you will find the Feldweg, the path that comes from Herrlisheim. Follow the direction of Herrlisheim for about 50 meters, then turn left into the Altstrasse, the old road. Already in Roman times, a road connected Offendorf to Drusenheim. On your left, you will see the Neukirchfeld, a former village. Follow the Altstrasse for a little over a kilometer, then turn right at the small bunker to return to Herrlisheim

On the way back, you can admire the beautiful orchards that surround the eastern part of the village and are home to, among others, the very rare owl. You can also see the pear tree classified as a remarkable tree by the department.

If you wish to join the beaver circuit, before the return path, go straight on for about 800 meters, then turn left, walk for 700 meters and cross the bridge over the Muehlrhein, the Gringelbrüeckel
