Via Del Mare Astigiano (Vma)

The VIA DEL MARE ASTIGIANO is proposed as an itinerary through those territories that have been and still are strongly characterized by water. These are territories that in the past shared the presence of water to a significant extent, whose history has been notably expanded over the years through the discovery of finds, the study of the morphology and existing vegetation. The mapping of the itinerary is based on the ridges that include paths already included in the regional hiking network. Within the route, there are also various points of historical and cultural interest represented by significant historic centers and associated architectures predominantly of medieval origin but with Baroque extensions, such as the Castle of Costigliole, as well as older traces from the Roman era like the historic roads of Montegrosso.
