The Heimolen, also called Broeke Molen or Hoevense Molen, the current location used to be the Molenbaan in the village of Bosschenhoofd, later the territory of Hoeven, but nowadays the Heimolendreef in Rucphen is a round stone belt grist mill, a top crawler. The Heimolen is named after the surrounding Hoevense Heide and north-west a remnant of the Zegsche Heide. Around 1840 the remaining hills were overgrown with heathland and the many enclosed hedgerows have disappeared, including the small corners with forest remnants. The area around Rucphen has been a reclamation in a raised bog area with river sedimentary vaults. After the dyeing, a sandy landscape remained, by the farmers using it as pasture and arable land.
