Reggestreek Hiking Day 2007

We cordially invite you to participate in a diverse hike through the Twente area on October 13, 2007. Diverse; not only because of the landscape but also because we won't just be hiking, but will also take two rides along the Regge. Depending on the distance we will walk, we will also take a short ride on the Reggestreek school bus. We think that this tour can be particularly nice for families with children.

Participation in the hike normally costs €6.50; however, Waypoint gladly covers this cost for our customers, with any refreshments/drinks along the way being paid for by yourselves.

Of course, we have the route in GPS format: after registration, we will send the route via email (so you can load it onto your device).

For those who do not have a GPS yet, there’s the option to rent a device.

Two options:

- a gps60 - rental cost €7.50

- an etrex legend Hcx - rental cost €15,-

Attention: The new devices, such as the etrex Hcx, offer significantly better reception. Maybe this hike is a great opportunity to test this difference in practice by renting such an etrex. Should you decide to purchase after the hike, you will of course not pay any rental fee. The number of rental devices is limited, so please reserve when you register to avoid disappointment.

The program:

The start is at Waypoint Notter, Rijssensestraat 170 Notter

1. From our landing stage, we first take the 'Enterse Zomp' to the campsite 't Mölke, where the first part of the hiking route begins. The length is optionally 6.1 or 9.7 km.

2. After that, there is a great break opportunity at the Tea House Grimberg, where we especially recommend the warm apple pie.

3. After the cake, you can choose between a ride through the Twente landscape with the Reggestreek school bus or a 4.9 km long walk.

4. Subsequently, there is a stage of either 1.6 or 4.5 kilometers, ending at the Biological Farm das Exoo; where again the inner person can be taken care of.

5. And finally, we go back on the Regge; again ending at the dock of Waypoint.

Start time (= departure of the boat) is, as you choose:

· 10:15 (full)
· 11:15 (almost full)
· 12:15 (still space)

ATTENTION:

Due to construction work, our parking lot is currently unusable: however, there are sufficient parking opportunities on the parallel street (at most you might have to walk a little, but that’s why we came!! ;-) )
