The Worm Valley is a beautiful nature reserve. The border river winds lushly here. The fish ladders at the Baalsbruggermühle and the current right at the tunnel where the Worm forms the border. The black soil still reveals the dump from the coal mines, but the crystal-clear water was pitch black in the middle of the last century, as the mines redirected the water after the coal and rocks had been cleaned.
The berry forest has partly developed on one of the dumps and is now a wonderfully tranquil hiking area.
