The Erfgooiersroute runs through the Gooise Heide, through forests, past meadows, ’s-Graveland and Bussum as well as through Naarden, Hilversum, Huizen, Blaricum, and Laren. The history of the (legacy of the) Erfgooiers is told along the way.

The entire Erfgooiers bicycle route is a circular route of a total of 52 km. With the shortcut route of about 5 km, the route can be split into a northern route – about 31.5 km and these southern routes – about 26 km.

The route can be followed on this digital map and is unidirectionally signposted (on the map with clock hands). The direction is indicated with white/green hexagonal signs showing the text 'Erfgooiersroute'.

This bicycle route was compiled by the City and Country Foundation. Established in cooperation with the ANWB in 1978. Renewed, adapted, and edited by iTRovator/RBT Gooi & Vecht in collaboration with the City and Country Foundation in 2014.

You can start the route from La Place in Laren, but also from e.g. the Toeristisch Overstappunt (TOP) Hilversum.
