The route starts at TOP Hazerswoude. From the TOP, follow the purple square signs. The Bauernlandweg, the Oostvaartroute, runs through a varied landscape with a nature reserve, polder windmills, and flower cultivation near Hazerswoude-Dorp. Along the way, you will see the young history of land consolidation. The area is rich in birds, including the stork.
Attention! During the breeding season (from March 15 to June 15), the route is not accessible. Dogs are not allowed.
The route is managed by the Association for Agricultural Nature and Landscape Management Wijk & Wouden.
