This hiking route of over 19 kilometers begins at Café Markzicht in Marum. The footpath first leads along the southern side of the village and takes you on a detour over country roads and paths to Jonkersvaart, which was once dug to drain peat from this area. Afterwards, you walk along alder hedges, water bodies, and forest along old sandy paths and narrow roads back to Marum. A lovely walk through a quiet landscape.
