A beach walk and a run around the Waterdunen. The Waterdunen is a project where nature and recreation are combined with coastal reinforcement. The area is supplied with saltwater twice a day with the tides of the sea, a spectacle for the spectators (we were just lucky that it was high tide). Just before Breskens we turn onto the beach where we see some sea vessels entering the harbor area, and via the dike around the lighthouse, we head towards the tidal sluice that supplies the Waterdunen with saltwater. Then we go onto the beach, as well as the nude beach, no panic, you may keep your clothes on while passing. Just past pavilion 'Puur' we leave the beach and for those who are not yet satisfied, you can enjoy the view and movements at sea a little longer from the observation platform. With some luck, you can also spot seals. After 6 km you can continue along the unpaved Hogedijk instead of the bike path below, and after 8 km when leaving the Waterdunen domain, you can continue walking unpaved below the dike instead of the bike path above, definitely more fun for the dogs. Parking (free from 1/11 to 31/3) at parking Puur (Cletemspolder), 300 meters past beach campsite Groede towards Nieuwvliet.
