That area has been of great significance in the life of Henriëtte Roland Holst. She wrote many poetry collections, biographies, and political books, and hosted famous writers and politicians.
If you want to see De Oude Buisse Heide and the adjacent De Moeren and Wallsteijn with varied estates and its old forests, meadows, fields, ponds, remnants of heath, hedgerows, and farms. The beautiful tree-lined avenues, park forests, tea houses, and country houses that give the landscape a stately touch should be combined with these 2 routes.
