A circular walk that starts at a viewing parking area of Volkel airport. Right next to the runway!
Further on, we walk along the German Line, where unfortunately the track itself is no longer present. However, some attributes and a monument "Camouflage Platform" can still be found. Halfway through, we pass Bunker 221, an old command bunker from 1951. Near the bunker, we can still see concrete posts with the inscription MvO (Ministry of War).
During the walk through the Trentsche Woods, we also walk over the old shooting range. This used to be a plain with a sand hill at the end to catch the bullets. This 'bullet catcher' is still visible in the forest.
