La chiesa parrocchiale di Loppem (Zedelgem) è un notevole insieme (neo-)gotico, le cui origini risalgono al XIII secolo. Nel corso dei secoli, la chiesa è stata continuamente ampliata. La pesante torre quadrata è la parte più antica ancora conservata. La torre sopraottagonale e la navata sinistra risalgono ai primi anni del XVII secolo. La navata destra risale al 1860-1870. In quegli anni, la chiesa, inclusi gli interni, è stata completamente restaurata in stile neo-gotico dagli architetti Auguste Van Assche e Jean Bethune, co-progettista del castello nelle vicinanze.
