La fontana Santa Begga (Andenne)
La sorgente di Santa Begga è sempre esistita. Il monumento che la sovrasta risale al XVII secolo. Anticamente chiamata « fontana dei Pulcini », ricorda la leggenda di Santa Begga ed è situata sulla place du Chapitre a sinistra della Collegiata, vicino alla porta Saint-Etienne (Santo Stefano). Al di sopra della fontana si può vedere una nicchia protetta da una griglia nella quale si trova una statua della Santa Patrona. Questa fontana è composta da varie vasche consumate ed erose dall’acqua e dallo strofinio delle lavandaie che, in particolare, attraversavano la Collegiata con i loro cani per recarvisi. Ancor’oggi, si può leggere un epitaffio al di sopra dell’entrata di destra della Collegiata, che dice: « LES CHIENS HORS DE LA MAISON DE DIEU» (I cani fuori dalla casa di Dio). Per l’aneddoto, ad una certa epoca, una guardia era appostata a questa entrata per obbligare queste signore a fare il giro.
