Description

Il castello di Borgwal è un castello d'acqua con un nucleo del XVIII secolo, adattato verso la metà del XIX secolo, situato in mezzo a un grande laghetto con muri di argine in mattoni, parte del rigido giardino del XVIII secolo. Il dominio del castello comprende alcuni annessi tra cui il monumentale cancello d'ingresso, la piazza statale e la corte sottostante realizzata per il castello con disposizione caratteristica a forma di U e dove erano raggruppati i vari servizi del castello. Nella corte sottostante si trova anche una monumentale torre dei piccioni quadrata, ricostruita nel XIX secolo su un predecessore del XVII secolo. Il dominio è dotato di un muro di recinzione in laterizio con una cappella incorporata.
