Il monumento è in pietra, è alto 3,7 metri ed è stato realizzato dalla ditta Jos. VERBEKE di Bruges (iscrizione in fondo all'immagine) ma disegnato da Eudore HAULT (artista di La Roche). La costruzione di questo monumento fu decisa nel novembre 1919. Il memoriale fu completato dopo la seconda guerra mondiale e recentemente ristrutturato.
Un soldato, fucile a terra, sembra scrutare l'orizzonte, pronto a imbracciare le armi se necessario, come dice il testo sottostante: "Guarda sempre".
Commemora le vittime della prima guerra mondiale : soldati, deportati, combattenti della resistenza e prigionieri.
Beausaint dovette ospitare da quattro a cinquemila soldati l'11 e il 12 agosto 1914 . Hanno picchiato diverse persone nel pozzo per mancanza d' acqua .
