Il Bosbeek nasce ad As e si snoda attraverso un paesaggio variegato fino a Maaseik per sfociare nel Mosa ad Aldeneik. A causa del suo grande dislivello sono stati costruiti diversi mulini ad acqua. È uno dei corsi d'acqua meno disturbati e più ricchi di natura delle Fiandre. Lungo il Bosbeek si trovano diverse zone paludose e prati umidi, una splendida riserva naturale gestita da Natuurpunt.
