Il comune si trova a nord della comarca di Marina Baixa , nella Sierra de Aitana a nord della Valle de Guadalest, ed è uno dei comuni più alti dell'intera provincia di Alicante.
La maggiore frazione comunale è Abdet, situata più a valle.
