Piazza di Santa María,
La cattedrale di Lugo fu costruita, sulle fondamenta di 2 basiliche precedenti, a partire dal 12° secolo da Raymond de Monfort ed è stata ampliata e ristrutturata nel corso dei secoli. Così si ottiene un insieme di stili architettonici. Le principali attrazioni sono il grande retablo (1531), una rappresentazione dell'Ultima Cena e il chiostro accessibile dalla cattedrale. C'è anche una tesoreria. È stata aggiunta una cappella remarquabile (quella della Vergine con i Grandi Occhi) sul retro, un'opera di Casas y Nóvoa (vedi Santiago) completata nel 1726 che può comunque essere definita riuscita. Nel portale nord romanico, il timpano è decorato con un'imponente figura di Cristo.
