Fivizzano è un comune italiano di 7 096 abitanti della provincia di Massa-Carrara in Toscana. Ampie parti del suo territorio sono comprese in due parchi: il Parco nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano e il Parco naturale regionale delle Alpi Apuane.
Terra abitata già dalla preistoria, come dimostra il ritrovamento a 700 metri dal suo centro della statua stele di Verrucola con il vicino menhir preistorico del Masso di Nazio e il sovrastante sito cerimoniale preistorico, ricco di coppelle, del Masso di Santa Caterina e ancora la Grotta delle Fate di Turlago e di ben quattordici statue stele in tutto il territorio comunale, fu insediamento dei Sengauni o Liguri Apuani.
