Nürnberg is beroemd om de Neurenberg-oorlogsmisdadenprocessen. Benjamin Ferencz was aanklager bij de Neurenberg-oorlogsmisdadenprocessen die op vrijdag 20 november 1945 begonnen. Het was de eerste internationale rechtszaak in zijn soort, en op zevenentwintigjarige leeftijd was Benjamin Ferencz de jongste aanklager. Hij leidde de zaak tegen de leiders van de Einsatzgruppen, rondzwervende doodseskaders die verantwoordelijk waren voor de moord op meer dan één miljoen burgers in Oost-Europa.
