Chateauneuf de Pape is een kleine wijnstad, ooit ontstaan rondom het buitenverblijf van de Pausen van Avignon. De burcht kent een mooi uitzicht en in de straatjes er naar toe zijn de vele wijnhuizen. Het is jammer dat je op de fiets bent, anders zou het proeven een welbestede dag kunnen ijn. Wil je weten wat er zoal kijken komt bj de wijnproductie bezoek dan de kelder van Pere Anselme met een kleine collectie gereedschappen.
Tijd voor een terrasje is er altijd, rond de fontein zijn verschillende mogelijkheden.
