Edinburgh is de Schotse hoofdstad en ligt in het zuiden van het land op ongeveer 70 kilometer ten oosten van Glasgow. De stad heeft een groot historisch centrum en enkele mooie parken waarvan de mooiste gedurende deze wandeling bezocht zullen worden. Daarnaast komen ook blikvangers als de St Giles' Cathedral, het Edinburgh Castle en het National Museum of Scotland aan bod zodat een uitstap naar deze prachtstad op een mooie manier besteed kan worden.
