De Cauberg in Valkenburg is met stip het bekendste wielermonument in Nederland. Tal van kampioenschappen en wereldbeker wedstrijden werden hier beslist. Alleen daarom neemt Limburgs Mooiste deze helling af en toe in haar programma op, want de weg is druk en landelijk onaantrekkelijk, en past daarom niet goed in de ambiance die Limburgs Mooiste haar deelnemers aanbiedt. In 2023 zit de helling in het parcours van de Rode Lus. De Cauberg is 850 meter lang met een stijgingspercentage van gemiddeld 7,5% en maximaal 11,8%.
