Dinara er et af de større bjerge beliggende på grænsen mellem Kroatien og Bosnien-Hercegovina. Den latinske betegnelse er Adrian oros, og det nuværende navn stammer sandsynligvis fra en illyrisk stamme, der boede på bergens østside. Dinara er del og navngiver af de Dinariske Alper, som består af kalksten og klippe. Dinara strækker sig fra Derale-passet i nordvest til Privija-passet, der ligger 20 km mod sydøst, hvor bjerget Kamešnica begynder. Dinara er 10 km bred. De højeste punkter er Troglav og Dinara. Dinara har formen af et menneskehoved og er lige så det højeste punkt i Kroatien.
