Neben offenen Flächen mit Heide gibt es auch Aufmerksamkeit für Wiesen im Wald. Das Grasland auf diesem armen, sauren Boden ist sehr mager. Eine charakteristische Pflanze für diesen mageren Boden ist das Sandblauwtje. Diese Pflanze hat einen kugelförmigen blauen Kopf und blüht von Juni bis August. Mit etwas Glück siehst du den kleinen Perlmutterfalter. Dieser hat schwarze Flecken auf den Flügeln und große ovale silberne Flecken an der Unterseite. Dieses orangefarbene Schmetterlingchen ist eine bedrohte Art. Auf dem roten Wanderweg kannst du, wenn du Glück hast, im Schmetterlingstal den Bruder des kleinen Perlmutterfalters antreffen: den Wiesen-Perlmutterfalter. Auch dieser ist eine ernsthaft bedrohte Art. Eine typische Art für diese Wiesen ist das Mausenohr.
