The Moresnet Viaduct is a 1200 meter long railway bridge over the valley of the Geul in Moresnet. It is one of the most famous railway bridges in Belgium, and in Europe. The bridge is part of railway line 24 (Montzenroute Antwerp-Aachen) which was specially built for the transport of artillery and troops to the front during the First World War. The bridge is now an important link in international freight traffic. It connects the German city of Aachen with the port of Antwerp and is located near the Montzen marshalling yard.
