The famous brothers Raf and Mich Walschaerts grew up in Essen. They were born as the sons of a dancing operator from Essen. Raf studied psychology and Mich attended an acting school in Antwerp. In 1987, the Essen brothers gave their first performance as "Kommil Foo." In 2018, they topped the Dutch and Flemish charts with the heartfelt song "Ruimtevaarder."
