Lettenberg bunkers

In the Lettenberg, a spur of the Kemmelberg, you can still find four concrete bunkers from the First World War. The shelters were built by British soldiers in the spring of 1917. They formed the entrance to an underground headquarters. This underground headquarters is no longer accessible. In April 1918 the bunkers fell into German hands. One structure became a medical post. You can recognize this bunker by the red cross. One shelter now houses bats. The Lettenberg site is accessible via a hiking trail.
