This lock connects the Scheldt and the Waaslandhaven. It is 360 meters long, 50 meters wide, and 21.5 meters deep. However, since the construction of the Beveren Tunnel under the Waasland Canal in 1979, the depth has been limited to 12.25 meters. A small warning for the attentive cyclist: there are 2 bridges over the Kallosluis. One of them is always open. Don't wait around but cross at the other bridge; otherwise, it can take rather a long time.
