The ride starts from the parking area opposite the castle of Seilles (near Andenne) and you follow it clockwise.
The route goes through the Pays des Vallées, the slogan with which the province of Namur promotes this region for tourism. On this route, you will go through the river valleys of the Meuse, Bocq, Leffe, Flavion, and Molignée. The landscape is characterized by tiges: hills oriented southwest to northeast. On the (flattened) tops, agriculture is practiced. This means that you often cycle between fields of wheat (at least if you are there before the harvest time (around mid/late July)). In the valleys between the tiges, there are often forests and villages and hamlets, sometimes with a castle.

At the start, you briefly go onto the bike path along the Meuse riverbank, and after just a kilometer, you cross the Meuse via a dam. After that, you climb directly out of the Meuse valley towards Bonneville and further on to Groynne. You pass the hamlet of Haltinne with a castle, the first of many castles along the route. Then you climb the Côte de Haut-Bois. Just before Gesves, you climb another tige and then you will cycle more or less on the top of a tige, sometimes you break through to the next tige, but the altitude differences remain limited here.

After Lisogne, you descend for a long time through the valley of the Leffe and arrive in Dinant. Note: the road in the Leffe valley is in moderate condition (it is the worst road on this route; the rest of the route in this direction has a fairly good to good road surface), and through the wooded valley with rock formations, you may find it hard to see the potholes in the road due to the alternating shadows and sunlight on sunny days. Also, stones may have fallen on the road from surrounding rocks.

Dinant is located in the Meuse valley, but you will only follow busy throughways in this valley for a short while. Via a dam with locks, you cross the Meuse (note: narrow lock doors, so also a moment of walking with the bike at hand) and then you climb out of the Meuse valley via Rue de Meez.

After a stretch of high plateau, you come through beautiful villages, such as Weillen and Falaën (one of the prettiest villages in Wallonia), alongside castles with some climbs in between (including to Salet, with descent over excellent road surface). Via the paved bike path along a former railway line in the valley of the Molignée, you reach the Meuse again. Now you again go over another dam with locks to the other side of the Meuse, and you climb the Route de Blocqmont from Houx. The route then passes through Purnode, where a brewery is located (there are many in this area, which is why a marked Routes des Bières has been set out) and a short steep climb over cobblestones (20%).

Then, you cross the valley of the Bocq again via a splendid area between Dorinne and Durnal and again come through one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia: Crupet. Along the castle of Courière, you ultimately head back toward the Meuse valley, with a steep descent over excellent road surface to Faulx-les-Tombes. The route does not pass the large castle of Faulx-les-Tombes but goes past a former abbey. Via Strud and along the castle of Bonneville, you eventually descend to the Meuse valley, and the last kilometers are flat.
