The Vereinigte Constantin der Große colliery was a hard coal mine in Bochum and Herne. From 1953, the mine was referred to only as Constantin der Große and later just as Constantin. The Vereinigte Constantin der Große union was one of the founding members of the Rhineland-Westphalian Coal Syndicate. The Vereinigte Constantin der Große colliery was in operation for over 100 years. In the second half of the 19th century, the mine was one of the most significant collieries in the Arnsberg administrative district.
