The Schwarze Ahe is an 8.3 km long, right tributary of the Verse in the Märkischer Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The course of the river lies in the area of Herscheid and Werdohl.
The headwaters of the Schwarze Ahe lie about 500 m north of the Piener Kopf at an altitude of 484 m above sea level. From here, the stream flows in a predominantly northerly direction, flows through the villages of Hardt, Verse, Schönebecke, Vogelsang and Schwarze Ahe, to leave the municipal area of Herscheid at Wiesenfeld. After another 300 m of flow, the Schwarze Ahe flows into the Verse at Altenmühle at 243 m above sea level. The difference in height between the source and the mouth is 241 m, which corresponds to an average bottom gradient of 29 ‰.
