The Gleesen lock is a lock on the Dortmund-Ems Canal. It is located in the district of Gleesen in the municipality of Emsbüren, in the southern part of the Emsland district.
The Gleesen lock is the northernmost structure of the so-called Rheine lock staircase. On this approximately 29-kilometer long section of the canal, a height difference of almost 29 meters is overcome up to the Bevergern lock. Between Gleesen and Bevergern, there are four more locks: Hesselte, Venhaus, Altenrheine, and Rodde.
