Bastion of the Capuchins - Cadiz - Andalusia

This vantage point is located in the Bastion of the Capuchins.

Together with the flank of the same name, this forms the platform of the Capuchins, which is part of the walls of Ventaval in the southern field of Cadiz between the Bastion of the Martyrs and the Flanc de Sant Rafael. .

It is part of the Frente del Ventaval defensive system , where the wall and bastion could only be built in the 18th century due to the force of the waves. With this walled site, Cadiz completed its perimeter walls, used first in the War of Independence and later in the successive revolutions of the 19th century.
