The church of Sainte-Foy is located in place Sainte-Foy, at the end of the Président-Carnot boulevard, next to the Agen train station, in Lot-et-Garonne.
After the edict of persecution of February 28, 303, Saint Foy was martyred in 303, probably on October 6, the day of her feast, after appearing before the court of Dacien, a Roman proconsul during the reign of Emperor Maximian. After her, her sister Saint Alberte, Saint Caprais, and other Christian inhabitants of the city, nearly 500, died, sharing the fate of the martyr.
