The "chiron" (local name for granite balls that emerge from the ground) is a very present element in nature, around which many legends and mysterious stories have been imagined. The natural site of the Rocher Branlant in the commune of Largeasse is dotted with these chirons, where also a granite chaos reveals a shaky stone: the Rocher Branlant. The legend of the Rocher Branlant? It is said that the shaky rock was used as a "Stone of Judgement", especially for women who had committed adultery and who would justify this accusation if they managed to set one of these stones in motion. Reality or mere legend?
