While walking along path n°42, follow the Vaux valley and discover the buildings from the 15th and 16th centuries in the village of Wasigny: its market hall in the center of the village and its castle located in an estate on the edge of the village. The Vaux and its mill are also essential elements on this route. At the starting panel, go down "Jean Jaurès" street and turn left at the crossroads. At the next bend, continue straight on "Rue Basse" towards the mill footbridge. Immediately after this, turn right, then at the playground, turn right to follow along the wash-house and the park of the Château de Wasigny. Then walk 800m to reach La Neuville-lès-Wasigny. Then take the steep path on the left (marker 6/27) leading to the road. Continue straight ahead, passing near the farm. At the bottom of the descent, turn right to follow the "Chemin de la garenne Vincent," which ends with a descent towards "La Ficelle." Turn left and continue along the woods and the formerly industrial Vaux valley. At the crossroads "Le bois de Plaincourt," continue straight ahead to head towards the village of Lalobbe. After the village square, turn right onto "Rue de l’Église" (marker 15/27). Cross the bridge over the Vaux and turn right to follow this stream (marker 17/27). Continue straight for 620m to reach the departmental road. Then turn left to climb towards "Sauge aux bois." Cross this hamlet and then, after 500m, in the bend, continue straight ahead by taking the "Route forestière du Bois du Château." At the exit of this forest road, turn right (marker 21/27) to follow the road for a while. 600m further on, leave it to enter the path on the left leading to a very busy road. Then turn right and then left 50m further on to take the path again (a grassy path runs along this short section of road and allows you to avoid using it). At the Chaisy cross, turn right to return to Wasigny. In the village, turn left to return to your starting point.
