From the top of the Rocca di Termini Alta, this castle dominates the entire city and much of the Tyrrhenian coastline.
The castle was completely destroyed between 1860 and the beginning of the 20th century. Today, a water reservoir and associated facilities stand in its place. The iconography of the 16th-19th century shows the castle isolated on the cliff, with the core on top, protected by an extensive bastioned wall circuit.
