Woonboulevard Heerlen has shops in the field of living, home furnishings and various restaurants and cafes. The shopping centre has more than 50 shops and 3500 private parking spaces. In total, the companies have almost 1000 employees. The home furnishing boulevard started in 1991 with 40,000 m². At the time, it was the first of its kind in Limburg.With the arrival of IKEA and expansions of other stores, including in 2004, the surface area has grown to 120,000 m². The furniture boulevard is located directly on the N281 and A76. In 2010, a train station, Station Heerlen Woonboulevard, was built just next to the residential boulevard.
