Ter Apel Rijksgrens is a railway station built by the STAR on the Stadskanaal - Ter Apel National Border Railway line. This station was built close to the German border. The line was opened in 1924, but due to the low efficiency, the section was closed again after 2 years in 1926 as one of the shortest railway lines in use in the Netherlands.
