This chapel depicts the Last Supper of Jesus with his apostles , just before his suffering and crucifixion. Inside you can see a sculptural scene of Jesus sitting at the table with his disciples. This chapel depicts the moment when Jesus celebrates the Passover with his twelve apostles and institutes the Eucharist. This is a crucial moment in the Christian faith, because here Jesus announces his suffering and shares the bread and wine as his body and blood.
It is the first of the fourteen Way of the Cross chapels on the Escadório do Bom Jesus in Braga.
