La basílica de Koekelberg ocupa el quinto lugar entre las iglesias más grandes del mundo, después de la basílica de Notre-Dame de la Paix en Yamoussoukro, Costa de Marfil, San Pedro en Roma, San Pablo en Londres y Santa María del Fiore en Florencia.
