La Tverenerheide è oggi una bellissima area di ricreazione. In passato era un'area industriale per l'estrazione di ghiaia e parzialmente anche una ex discarica. Ormai qui pascolano bestiame di Halloween e insieme ai camminatori del tempo libero anche i Nordic Walker ne traggono piacere.
